Dear Mr. Hanson -

I am much pleased with your account of your progress -

I am quite willing to pay the ten pounds you require for your course[3] at the College - but have had a letter from the Bank that does away with all possibility of money at this moment - If however you go to Mr. Singleton[4] with this note and say to him that if he will advance you the ten pounds I will repay him directly I am paid for my [p. 2] work now owing to me by the Fine Arts Society I trust it will be all right -
