Dear Mr Thomson.-
All right about the pastel - and very proper - which view of the case is I am sure entirely due to your own very correct view of things -
Now why dont you hand over the photographs in batches as I said? - I know [p. 2] what will happen - By & bye you will pack them off in a lump and wish me to stop in town to sign them!! -
"Business" ought to be very much looking up again just now with all this Royal festivity - isn't it so? -
J McN. Whistler
What about Sheridan Ford? Have you heard anything?

6. Royal festivity
The wedding of the Duke and Duchess of York. In 1891 Princess Mary of Teck (1867-1953), Duchess of York, later Queen Mary [more], became engaged to Albert Victor Christian Edward (1864-1892), Duke of Clarence [more], (elder son of the Prince of Wales). However, he died a few weeks before the wedding was due to take place. Subsequently, she became engaged to the Duke's younger brother, George, Duke of York (1865-1936), later George IV (1911) [more]. They were married on 6 July 1893 in the Chapel Royal, St. James Palace.
