None of these irrelevant, ill meant and inocuous [sic] writings of Podsnap[3] have I come upon - though I have known of certain "Corners" in Catalogues, in his earlier Counting-House manner - inventories with harmlessly foolish comment, that put guineas in the pocket of Podsnap, who fed and pleasantly fattened upon me, "and did exceeding well!"
