TELEGRAMS, - BOUSSOD, LONDON.
11 April 1892.
Not having heard from you this morning, we have accepted the information sent by M. Joyant that you have abandoned, for the present, the idea of having an Exhibition at Paris. We have therefore commenced the re-distribution of the pictures.
Your telegram has come later asking if we had any letter & we have answered [p. 2] that up to the present no letter has come.
We have sent home to-day about half of the pictures - with compliments & thanks - the rest go tomorrow.
Mr Matterson, the present owner of Mrs Peter Taylors picture is willing to send the Picture to Paris if it is insured against all risks & if you agree to have the old frame put in new condition afterwards. The insurance would be £1. 10/- The picture has gone to Richards who will have it done by the 19th[.] Please say if you [p. 3] want it under these conditions.
People are coming in this morning & are much disappointed at not seeing any thing.
Catalogues. The last 500 Catalogues are now entirely sold out. Do you think that you should have any more printed? Would it not be better to let them go out of print & become scarce? It costs £3- to print 500 - & about £1- 15/- for 250. We wait your instructions but think no more should be done[.] We have paid Way on your a/c up to date.
Letters - We had hoped to have heard [p. 4] from you ere post time this evening but nothing has come yet - No doubt it will come tomorrow morning
Yours vy truly
