Dear Mr Whistler.
I found your letter at the "Glaspalast" yesterday. You may forward your letters there as I have all my mail go there. Every thing is well under way now and I feel quite convinced that we will make a first rate exhibit. The enclosed notice appeared in the Münchener Neueste Nachrichten April 11th.
All letters concerning the pictures you mention are under way & I hope that the owners will allow us to have them. All are very anxious to see your work again & hope that there will be something that may be bought for the Pinakothek. The government has officially written to the Glasgow people about the [p. 2] Carlyle & I hope we may have that too.
I will keep you posted as to how we are progressing here.
yours very sincerely
Charles F. Ulrich.

Literally, glass palace.
The art gallery considered but failed to buy Symphony in White, No. 2: The Little White Girl (YMSM 52) and Arrangement in Black and Brown: The Fur Jacket (YMSM 181). However, JW was awarded a gold medal for the Fur Jacket (see #04216).
