April 92.

Dear Mr Whistler.

I found your letter at the "Glaspalast[3]" yesterday. You may forward your letters there as I have all my mail go there. Every thing is well under way now and I feel quite convinced that we will make a first rate exhibit. The enclosed notice[4] appeared in the Münchener Neueste Nachrichten April 11th.

All letters concerning the pictures you mention are under way & I hope that the owners will allow us to have them. All are very anxious to see your work again & hope that there will be something that may be bought for the Pinakothek[5]. The government has officially written to the Glasgow people about the [p. 2] Carlyle[6] & I hope we may have that too.

I will keep you posted as to how we are progressing here.

yours very sincerely

Charles F. Ulrich.
