I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your - Certificate for 360£ for which please accept by [sic] best thanks[.] I regret that my engagements prevent[e]d my keeping the appointment you made - also that my representative[5] should have caused the slightest Irritation or anoyance [sic] from anything he may have said or done[.] [p. 2] it will not happen again
