[red seal:] ANNA

Notes:

1.  25 February [1875/1879?]
Year estimated from dates of other recorded autograph menus (e.g., #06859-#06865) and from the use of the seal, which may indicate that it belonged to Anna Matilda Whistler (1804-1881), née McNeill, JW's mother [more]. JW did most entertaining after his mother left to live in Hastings later in 1875, and before he went bankrupt in 1879.

2.  TDfc
Typescript copy from a list of JW items offered to Pickford Robert Waller (1849-1930), designer and collector [more], by Henry Danielson, dealer, London, 20 February 1924. It was described as being in JW's hand.
