110. Rue du Bac -

Friday night -

My dear Jonathan! -

I am of opinion that decidedly you should be present - Voila - Now I am also of opinion that Mirbeau's[3] address is a little late for this coming Saturday (as ever is) - and thus therefore they, that is he and Vielé Griffin[4] should be given more time -

So I propose the next Sunday - April 7. for the breakfast - 12 o'clock - here -

Will you tell Griffin if you see him - I shall of [p. 2] course also write him an "official" note of invitation - By that time also we may hope for fine weather - coffee in the garden and other developments! - For I hear that my letter appears today in the Pall Mall[5] - It has been kept back in order that it may appear at the same moment with two others - a second one I believe from QC[6]. and one from the Law Times[7] - whatever that may be -

Ainsi[8] donc à dimanche en huit -

If you are able, come in any how the next Sunday afternoon - at about 5 - to tea. The ladies[9] will be at home - and glad to see you -

Agréez[10], Monsieur Jonathan, l'assurance de tous mes sentiments distingués et dévoués -
