Dear Sir,

Your favor[4] of Janry. 22nd is duly received, while one of the rolls[5] only has reached us so far. We presume the next French mail, due on the 12th, will bring the balance. Enclosed we beg to hand you cheque on London for £ 68. 6 / - in settlement of a/c. as per statement[6] which we trust you will find correct.

We also enclose receipted bill for $37.50, paid by Mr. Mansfield[7] for insurance on etchings while in transit between New York and Chicago. We have [p. 2][8] refunded the amount to Mr. Mansfield but omitted to put it on the list of expenses connected with the Chicago exhibition[9], and, as we prefer not to make the charge without your consent, we shall be pleased to hear from you with regard to this matter.

We shall be obliged for acknowledgment of cheque and remain

Yours respectfully

H. Wunderlich & Co
