CLOS ST. BLAISE, CARRIERES S/POISSY. S[EINE] & O[ISE]

Cher ami

Octave Mirbeau.

Translation:

Dear Friend,

Nothing from our cavalier. I think that the time limit has passed, and that all there remains for us to do is to write up that which, we the men of the sword, call a quick statement. I expected it would come to this. Prepare therefore, dear friend, your fine irony, and warn Griffin that I will be at the Hotel Chatham at 5 o'clock, tomorrow, Wednesday.

Yours faithfully

Octave Mirbeau.
