'12. December. 1878.'

Owl

the letter from Blott[3] I see it is best for me not to notice personally yet - The thing to do is for you at once to go on now upon the very authority of his letter, and make out the inventory - with which and the letter I will then present myself at the 'Rocket' Office and complete the transaction - Meanwhile there is no advantage in my at once teasing Blott -

Now you know Owl you haven't a moment to lose about the £200 - However I trust to what you say and will take the two days quiet work - knowing it will be all [p. 2] right in your hands -

Allingham[4] has let in the man from Oetzmann[5] with a £30. judgement on the top of the other fellow - and not even a line to his client!! - I am off to Rose[6] -

I have given [Sheve?] the letter so that's all right for Monday -
