15TH FEBRUARY, 1901.

DEAR SIR,

THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL HAVE THE HONOUR TO CALL YOUR ATTENTION TO THE THIRD EXHIBITION OF THIS SOCIETY, WHICH IT IS PROPOSED TO HOLD IN THE INSTITUTE GALLERIES, PICCADILLY, DURING OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER OF THIS YEAR.

THE FIRST AND SECOND EXHIBITIONS, BY THEIR ARTISTIC SUCCESS AND THE WIDESPREAD INTEREST THEY AROUSED AT HOME AND ABROAD, ENCOURAGED THE COUNCIL TO RELY ON YOUR SUPPORT, AND WE THEREFORE INVITE YOU AGAIN TO BECOME A GUARANTOR.

THE COUNCIL HAS THOUGHT IT WELL TO APPORTION THE GUARANTEE FUND INTO SUMS OF £25 EACH, AND YOU ARE INVITED TO TAKE UP ONE OR MORE OF THESE. AN AGREEMENT HAS BEEN COME TO, THAT, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF EACH GUARANTOR, ANY PROFITS WILL GO TO A RESERVE FUND FOR FUTURE EXHIBITIONS.

AN OPTION OF ENGAGING THE INSTITUTE GALLERIES, PICCADILLY, HAS BEEN OBTAINED FOR THE PERIOD ABOVE MENTIONED AT THE RENT OF £250. THE TOTAL EXPENSES OF THE EXHIBITION, INCLUDING THE RENT, HAVE BEEN CALCULATED BY THE COMMITTEE, HAVING REGARD TO THEIR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE, AT £850, SAY £1,000.

ON THE NEXT PAGE IS A FORM OF GUARANTEE WHICH KINDLY SIGN IF YOU ARE WILLING TO BECOME ONE OF THE GUARANTORS[4].

IT WILL BE OBSERVED THAT A GUARANTOR WILL NOT BE CALLED UPON:

1. IF THE RECEIPTS ARE EQUAL TO OR GREATER THAN THE EXPENDITURE;

2. UNLESS THERE IS A DEFICIENCY IN RECEIPTS AS AGAINST EXPENDITURE, AND, IN THAT CASE, UNLESS THE SUBSCRIPTIONS OF MEMBERS ARE INSUFFICIENT TO COVER THE DEFICIENCY.

IT IS PROPOSED TO INCORPORATE THE SOCIETY AND TO CONSTITUTE A PAYING MEMBERSHIP.

I HAVE, DEAR SIR, THE HONOUR TO BE,
FAITHFULLY YOURS,

G. SAUTER.

(HONORARY SECRETARY.)

1, HOLLAND PARK AVENUE.

THE APPENDED FORM TO BE FILLED UP AND RETURNED TO THE HON. SECRETARY WITHIN 10 DAYS.
