Dear Mr Whistler

Is it decided? About the Library[3] I mean - I am so crazy to have anything so splendid as our great Bates Hall painted by you, that I am too excited to remain [p. 2] in doubt! Please let me know -

Will you kindly send me the papers for my Courbet - Trouville Sea[4] - better still can't you come with the papers & have a cup of tea at five tomorrow; & then put in your pocket & bring to me the gravure, or photograph or whatever it is of your mother's portrait[5] -

And also, best & most amiable of men! please [p. 3] bring only to show you know, the whirling tracings of Loie Fuller[6] that you pencilled -

Do be as good as only you can & give me all this pleasure tomorrow at five & above all that of seeing you. -

Si[ncerel]y yours

Isabella S. Gardner.
