I beg to acknowledge your letter[4] and to say of the 2nd inst and to say that I shall be pleased to receive Counsellor Robert Crawford[5] and the other members of the Town Council any afternoon of this or the ensuing week after excepting this next Saturday when previous engagements make it absolutely impossible -
