Paris

Samedi soir

Mon cher ami,

Paris

Saturday evening

My dear friend,

The matter has been passed on to Evans, as a proper Buffalo Bill; but I am assured that it will be sent as you wish, to the American Register: I shall see to it, and our friend Méry for her part and I shall send you the number immediately it appears. You have, according to those whom I see, a success such as you would wish at the Exposition: only I have not yet been there, because I am working so much and she would devour me; but she will take you.

My hand

Stéphane Mallarmé
