R. and J. E. Low, surveyors, sent JW a bill for £6. 9. 0 on 20 December 1878 (#08932). W petitioned to be declared bankrupt in January and was declared 'insolvent' on 6 May 1879. This document came with JW's bankruptcy papers to James Anderson Rose (1819-1890), solicitor [more]. The firm was among his creditors (see The London Bankruptcy Court to [J. A. Rose], 7 May 1879, #11711).
