Virginia Vaughan was an author and French translator.
Life:
She is best remembered for her translations of the work of George Sand. These include Mauprat, Antonia (both published in 1870) and L'homme de Neige (The Snowman, published in 1871). She also published her own The New Era, a dramatic poem in 1880 and Orpheus and the Sirens: a drama in lyrics in 1882.
