Arthur William North was a figure painter.
North was an active exhibitor between 1882 and 1887, showing at the Royal Academy, Society of British Artists, a society that appointed JW its President in 1886, Arthur Tooth and Sons Gallery and Liverpool Art Exhibition. He was invited to exhibit with the International Society of Sculptors, Painters and Gravers during JW's presidency. He lived in Antwerp, Huddersfield and Newlyn, Penzance.
