Emile Henry was an anarchist and advocate of 'propaganda by deed'.
He claimed responsibility for the anarchist bombings at the Cafeacute Terminus in Paris on 12 February and the Rue des Bons Enfants on 8 November 1892. He was tried on 27-28 April 1894, condemned to death, and guillotined on 21 May. He was, not surprisingly, referred to in JW's correspondence in that year.
