Samuel Edward Govier was a blacksmith.
In the 1881 census he is recorded as living at Broad Street, Lyme Regis with his father and four siblings. The father and a brother were also blacksmiths. JW made a number of lithographs there in 1895 including The Master Smith (C.120), The Blacksmith (C.127) and The Brothers (C.128).
