Robert Loveband Fulford was a solicitor in the firm of Walker, Martineau and Co. He married Anna Louise, who was born around 1850 in India at Lecundra Apa.
Fulford was admitted into Trinity in 1872 at 36 Theobald's Road, Gray's Inn. He was admitted to the Bar in 1877. He became Commissioner for Oaths. His partners were John Philip Martineau, Richard Woolcombe and Arthur Black. In November 1878 he acted as solicitor for John Ruskin in the Whistler v. Ruskin libel trial. In 1881 he was living at Leamington Road Villas with his wife.
