Nelson Dawson was a coastal and landscape painter.
He also worked in metal together with his wife the artist Edith Brearey. He was a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolours amongst others. In 1898 he was invited to exhibit at the International Society of Sculptors, Painters and Gravers when JW was President.
