Henry St Leger Coppée was a civil engineer.
Coppée studied at Lehigh University, graduating in 1872. From 1872-76 he practiced as a railway engineer. He was assistant U.S. engineer in charge of U.S. levees in Mississippi and from 1876-78, he worked for the Bethlehem Iron Company. Later he worked for the U.S. Engineering corps on river and harbour improvement.
