James Clarke was a milliner and costume maker.
In 1876 JW owed Clarke £1.5.0 (#08844). He was one of JW's creditors at his bankruptcy in 1879 (#11926). At this time his address was 106-8 Finborough Road, West Brompton. In 1885 he was listed as a silkmercer at 108 Finborough Street in the Chelsea, Pimlico and Belgravia Post Office Directory.
