[Bavarian coat of arms and text:] KONIGLICHES KUPFERSTICHKABINET
16. I. 1902.
Will you kindly permit me to remind you of the fact to day and to refer to my letter of the oct. 18th, which contained a list of your lithographs that we already possess. In the course of this month our books and inventories for 1901 are closed and controlled: at present the inventories shew, as you will know, nine items reserved for your proofs, whereas we have actually received only eight, because the lithograph was returned to Mr. Heinemann.
Would you have the great kindness to help me out of the difficulty by sending the new lithograph, which is still outstanding? - In order to save you the inconvenience of putting up and posting a parcel, [p. 2] I would recommend your leaving it with either Messrs. Colnaghi and Co., Messrs Obach and Co, or Mr. Richard Gutekunst, all of whom will be ready to undertake the forwarding to our Print Room.
Pardon me for once more troubling you in this matter, and believe me, dear Sir,
very sincerely yours
Prof. Dr. Max Lehrs.
