George Webb (b. ca 1835), of G. and W. Webb. lawyer [more], and William Webb (b. ca 1851), of G. and W. Webb, lawyer [more], a firm of solicitors. They acted as the intermediary between JW and the North Metropolitan Building and Investment Society, providers of JW's mortgage on the White House. By May 1879 JW's debt to the Society was listed as £1415. 5. 9. (see list of creditors, #11926).
