Though the Secretary[2] of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Water-colours will inform you that at a meeting of the Society yesterday you were elected an Honorary Member I venture to write expressing my personal pleasure in the election having for years been an ardent admirer of your fascinating [p. 2] painting and trust you will favour us whenever possible with some example[3] of your water colour work at our annual Exhibition -
