1.  Louis Herrman
Louis Herrman (b. 1810 or 1811), of Gilby and Herrman, artists' suppliers, later a picture dealer [more]. JW owed money to Herrman through loans negotiated by Charles Augustus ('Owl') Howell (1840? - d.1890), entrepreneur [more], as well as for the supply of artists's materials. JW often got into difficulty over the loan repayments (see for example, JW to C. A. Howell, #02778). Herrman was among JW's creditors listed in the records of the London Bankruptcy Court on 7 May 1879 (#11711).
