March 22.
My dear Studd -
I have heard from Graham Robertson[4] - He is very nice about it - and is going to lend me his "Rosa Corder" & his "Valparaiso"[5] for the Antwerp Exhibition.
So that's all right - and, with yours[6], and what I shall send on from Hamburg[7], I shall have a splendid show!
Don't you think you might now write, as you proposed, to Messrs. Dicksee[8] of London, and tell them to call for the picture - pack with care - and send right on to Antwerp? - They will understand about insuring etc - they must have full instructions from the authorities of the Exhibition, for I see that they are the London agents (I think I told you this -)
With a thousand thanks
J.McN. Whistler
I write this in tremendous hurry - so forgive its abrupt tone! and come & see us -
