Notes:
1. [6/16 June 1874?]
Dated from reference to JW's first one man exhibition which opened on 6 June 1874 (see below).
2. 48, PALL MALL
Mr Whistler's Exhibition, Flemish Gallery, Pall Mall, London, 1874. This list was written on the verso of the title-page, and the rest of the catalogue is missing.
3. Elinor Leyland
Elinor Leyland (K.109). It was not exhibited under this title in the exhibition, but might have been one of several listed as 'Etching, Portrait' (cat. nos. 29, 31, 37) or 'Drypoint, Portrait' (cat. nos. 6, 22, 24, 25, 27, 30, 32, 33, 35, 36, 50).
4. Florence
Florence Leyland (K.110). See note on Elinor Leyland (K.109) above.
5. Fanny
Fanny Leyland (K.108). See note on Elinor Leyland (K.109) above.
6. Girl in drapery
Either The Model Resting (K.100), Seated Girl (K.118) or The Model lying down (K.121). Nothing was exhibited under this title in the exhibition, but one of these could have been 'Figure resting' (cat. no. 39).
7. Girl in cloak & hat
See note on Elinor Leyland (K.109) above. The two etchings that might have been so described are Finette (K.58), and, perhaps more likely, Annie Haden (K.62).
