My dear Cowan -
Now do write me a line to say that it is all right about the Venice[4] people - and that they may have the pictures[5] for their coming exhibition - so that I may answer their letter and make them happy - I want much to meet all their official courtesies - and nowhere will the pictures you care for meet with greater recognition [p. 2] and care. -
I send enclosed the letter about Baronet[6] - and a little leader in the Morning Post[7]!, which must have filled the sharp sports man with dismay! -
The Book[8] is to be out by the 10 or 12 of this month -

5. pictures
At the Piano (YMSM 24) and The Thames in Ice (YMSM 36) were already committed to other shows. W. C. Alexander agreed to lend Harmony in Grey and Green: Miss Cicely Alexander (YMSM 129) but it did not appear in the Venice catalogue. William Burrell certainly lent Sketch for 'La Princesse du pays de la porcelaine' (YMSM 49).
