Translation:

Dear Mr Lavery

A society has been set up in Italy called "Corporazione des Pittori e Scultori Italiani" with the purpose of holding selected exhibitions abroad where Italian Art has been so badly represented until now.

To establish ourselves this coming Spring in Venice and also to admire our exhibition of your beautiful works of art –

Please accept Sir for you and for Mr White my attentive salutations– from your little child a kiss for my wife –

Yours,

P. Fragiacmo

Notes:

1.  Pietro Fragiacomo
Pietro Fragiacomo (1856-1922), genre and landscape painter [more].

2.  John Lavery
John Lavery (1856-1941), painter [more], Vice President of the International Society of Sculptors, Painters and Gravers.

3.  Mr [White?]
A possible original spelling of Whistler appears to have been overwritten with 'White'. Presumably it is some reference to JW as President of the ISSPG. The 3rd Esposizione Internazionale d'Arte della Città di Venezia,Venice, 1899 opened on 22 April.
