Monsieur Whistler -
Chelsea - Londres

Translation:

Dear Mr Whistler

Immediately upon receipt of your letter, I wrote to Mr. Child's agent and he returned one of your pictures today and told me that he needs about another ten days to finish the engraving of the other.

As soon as the latter picture is returned to me, I shall have the boxes sent to London and will advise you by letter.

Yours faithfully,

[stamped:] "P. Pon. DURAND-RUEL"

[illegible]

Please let me know whether I should send the box by express or general post.
