Dear Mr Hooper,
Jimmie has rushed off in a great hurry, and has asked me to write to you for him.
He is very much pleased at [p. 2] your wishing to have the picture, it is a great pet of his, and he has been asking rather a large price for it; but if you think 100 guineas is not too much for the "Fête on the Sands"[4] you shall [p. 3] have it.
Will you let us know - at once, because it is now at the Exposition at Brussells[5] and we must let them know - that it is not for sale.
I hope Miss Hooper[6] is well, tell her I mean to bring [p. 4] Mr Whistler to America[7] very soon, and then he shall make of her that other picture, he is always talking about.
