My dear Robertson -
I am going yet to trouble - not withstanding your excellent letter! And a nice letter it was too -
You were quite right - but, this you might still do - Lend [p. 2] on your Valparaiso[3] - for Venice -
I am so anxious to show my acknowledgment of the very great courtesy and appreciation continually coming to me from the people there -
And now I have the Mayor[4] and Council urging me to obtain for them what I would wish them to hang in the place of honour - And surely I should, of all things, like there to see your Valparaiso -
I will say no more -
If you can, I feel sure you will do what I ask -
The picture ought go very directly -
The agents in London are the usual ones - Dicksee[5] - I think - but - they shall of course appear -
