Dear Sir,
I am glad Mrs Whistler[4] likes the bound catalogue[5] - I send you an ordinary one for reference. Also three proofs of the Group. Kindly let me know which you prefer and return to me and I will send you one of the best copies[6].
Mr Rathbone[7] has been over to Manchester to the private view[8] there of which he does not give a very flattering account.
I spoke to him about photographing the two walls but he finds it cant be done - he will however get an exact plan of the walls made so that you may see where the pictures are hung -
One picture has been added to the Classical wall, Batten's[9] "Demeter and Persephone".
