Just received a note from Chapman[2] in which he says that on his return to Liverpool on Tuesday or Wednesday (he writes from Brighton) he will send the pictures off -
I think this will still be in time - as we have some other pictures for [p. 2] Munich[3] which have not yet been fetched by the agents.

3. pictures for Munich
The 3rd Internationale Kunst-Austellung, Munich, 1888 opened in July. JW sent a large group of works - thirteen oils, twenty watercolours, seven pastels and thirty etchings. Amongst the oils were Arrangement in Black: La Dame au brodequin jaune - Portrait of Lady Archibald Campbell (YMSM 242) and Harmony in Grey and Green: Miss Cicely Alexander (YMSM 129). Chapman had agreed to lend Nocturne: Grey and Gold - Chelsea Snow (YMSM 174) to the Munich exhibition and 'Nocturne in Blue and Gold (Bognor),' probably Nocturne: Blue and Silver - Bognor (YMSM 100), to another exhibition in Paris, Exposition, Galerie Durand-Ruel, Paris, 1888.
