Dear Mr Dowdeswell -

You forgot after all to leave the drawings[3] this morning - You said you were bringing them with you - They are wanted today for Menpes[4] to frame -

Will you give them to Miss Finch[5], who brings this - ('the Red Girl') -

Now the enclosed I have just received [p. 2] Keep it dark - I have an idea that something might be done - in any case we might talk about it -

If I come down tonight after work, will you or your son[6] be there? that is at about 8 or half past -
