Thomson published an article by R. A.M. Stevenson in which Miss May Alexander (YMSM 127) was reproduced (Stevenson, R. A. M., 'Some Autumn Exhibitions,' Art Journal, new series, January 1899, pp. 26-9). The exhibition was the 8th Exhibition, Society of Portrait Painters, London, 1898 in which the picture was the only one exhibited by JW. The reproduction appears on p. 27.
