Dear Mr Thomson -
Will you let one of your clerks send Mr Whistler the names and addresses of the owners of his pictures - He has the [p. 2] names but not all the addresses - Who is it who owns the Valparaiso Nocturne? and where does he live?
Can you find out what it was, and how it got [p. 3] here - Mr Whistler cannot understand who it could belong to. We did not see the picture - but the exhibition we believe was got up by a paper called "Le Journal" [-] perhaps you would be good enough to ask Monsieur Joyant - if he knows.
With kind regards
Beatrix Whistler -
