Alma-Tadema, Venus (z137) in the 99th Exhibition of the Royal Academy of Arts, Royal Academy, London, 1867, cat. nos. 495 and 500. It was exhibited at the 85th exhibition, Ouvrages de peinture, sculpture, architecture, gravure et lithographie des artistes vivants, Palais des Champs Elysées, Paris, 1867, cat. no. 572 as Portrait - étude, and bought by A. Ionides.
