The [Exposition], Galerie Durand-Ruel, Paris, 1873 opened in January 1873. JW sent a number of pictures, including Variations in Flesh Colour and Green: The Balcony (YMSM 56), Arrangement in Grey: Portrait of the Painter (YMSM 122), and Thames Nocturnes ([Views of the Thames] (YMSM 138)).
