Your letter^[2] of Sept 15th and the etchings were duly received, but you charged us for the Charing cross Bridge^[3] £8. 8. -. instead of £6. 6 ~ as before. We have deducted the difference £3. 7. 3. from the bill and enclose draft on Lazard Brothers for £43. 13. 7. in payment of same.

Please send the rest of our order as soon as convenient. You would also oblige us if you would inform us, how soon we may expect the Watercolors & pastels which we were to exhibit^[4] in October.

4.  exhibit
The exhibition was postponed. JW was in France on a working honeymoon, after his marriage to Beatrix Whistler (1857-1896), née Beatrice Philip, artist [more] on 11 August and did not return to London until early November. See H. Wunderlich to JW, #07166. Wunderlich's proposals for the exhibition are set out in their letter to JW dated 29 August, #07164. It eventually took place the following year ('Notes' - 'Harmonies' - 'Nocturnes', H. Wunderlich and Co., New York, 1889).
