Dear Mr. Whistler
My father[3] will be glad to hear from you personally with reference to your exhibition. You will remember that the last communication you sent him on the subject was the telegram requesting him to take your card (as to terms,) to the Fine Art Society[4]. You mentioned in your last letter to me that you had made arrangements with Mr. Huish[5] but you have given us no instructions yourself, nor communicated [p. 2] with my father at all. Before we can proceed further in our endeavours to assist you in the matter, my Father desires to hear directly from you.
With kind regards to Mrs Whistler[6] and yourself
I remain
Yours very faithfully
Thomas R. Way
J. McN. Whistler Esqre
