[Crest with the lion of St Mark on a shield, and a scroll:] ESPOSIZIONE INTERNAZIONALE ARTISTICA VENEZIA
Venice,
the 15th March 1899
Dear Sir,
Many thanks for your kind letter of the 12th inst. We have immediately written to Mr. Alexander[2], according to your advice, praying him to make all efforts in order to get the picture[3] from the Dublin Exhibition[4] in time for the opening of ours, and thanking him, of course, of his kindness. We have read with pleasure Mr. Alexander's letter, and send it now back to you in conformity to your wishes.
Yesterday evening we have received very good news: Mr. Burrell[5] has confirmed his consent relatively to your "Princess[6]", telling us the insurance, that [p. 2] we have telegraphically accepted. We have added that if he think [necessary] he may make the sending by grande vitesse.
Hoping to receive other good news like these, we assure you that the pictures will be hung up conforming [to] your wish, and pray you to agree the expression of our highest admiration.
The General Secretary
A. Fradeletto
