Permettez-nous de vous renouveler la prière que nous avons eu l'honneur de vous adresser par notre lettre[2] du 17 décembre, au sujet de votre concours à la prochaine Exposition internationale de Venise[3]. Comme le temps nous presse, il nous tarde de recevoir votre réponse, que nous souhaitons tout-à fait conforme au désir de la Ville et a celui de tous les artistes de l'Italie.

Veuillez agréer, cher Maître, l'assurance de notre très-haute et très-reconnaissante considération.
