16 Jany. 1894.

Dear Mr Whistler,

The lithographs looked complete & elegant in their new toilettes & are all that the most fastidious could desire.

I hope to see the Grafton[2] on Thursday & will write - It opens on Saturday.

Not much news: - we may have some shortly, but nothing [decided?]

[p. 2] I am glad to hear you are so busy.

Kindly think of the Lithograph for the Art Journal[3].

'Arry[4]. There was a very short remark in the Times[5] yesterday (15th) saying his works were sometimes like Rosetti[6] [sic] & sometimes like Monet[7], & that he would have been better to keep the collection for his private friends.

Enclosed is his reply[8]. Also a note that a man insisted on leaving with postage

Yours vy truly

D. C. Thomson
