Dear Sir
I am instructed by the Council to inform you that by a resolution[3] of of [sic] the Society you are invited to become a member, and that upon notifying your acceptance of the invitation you will be at once entitled to the rights and privileges of membership.
I may add that the Exhibition[4] is now hung [p. 2] and open to members.
The private view will take place on Saturday next, have you any communication with which to favour me respecting the Catalogue which goes to press on Wednesday morning
