Your esteemed favour[3] of March 4th last was punctually received, and it now gives me pleasure to forward to you by J. W. Hampton, Jr., & Co's Foreign Express the Temple Gold Medal which was awarded you by the Jury of the 63d Annual Exhibition[4] on February 12th, 1894. We also send you by the present mail a certificate of the award.

I trust that you may receive these in due course, and that you will accept with them our sincerest regards and thanks for the privilege of exhibiting your pictures.
