Dear Mr. Boyes -

I have this time, nothing whatever to do with the Exhibition in Suffolk Street[3] - neither do any of the invitations come from me -

I have sent no work to the Gallery, and I shall not, myself, be present to receive at the Private View -

By all means however, go [p. 2] to the Press View, & see its present condition -

Meanwhile pray offer my compliments and my regrets to the ladies[4] and assure them that if my list had been sent out theyis year, they would not [have] been forgotten -

Very sincerely

J McN. Whistler
